Specialty Care – Closer to Home!

As part of Berkshire Health Systems, North Adams Regional Hospital (NARH) is a Critical Access Hospital located in North Adams, MA. It has up to 25 inpatient beds, a 24-hour emergency department, a community pharmacy, and a range of other inpatient and outpatient services.

A Critical Access Hospital is a small facility that has been specifically recognized by the federal government for its important role in providing healthcare services to patients in a rural area. A Critical Access Hospital designation is granted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and determines how hospitals are paid by government insurance for the care they provide. North Adams Regional Hospital received its Critical Access Hospital designation in the spring of 2024.

At NARH, we offer a comprehensive range of outpatient and specialty services designed to meet the diverse healthcare needs of our community. From outpatient surgery, imaging, and laboratory services to wound care and renal dialysis, our goal is to provide convenient, high-quality care close to home. We also offer vital programs such as cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes education, and nutrition counseling, helping patients take charge of their health and well-being.

In addition, we’ve expanded access to specialty care with provider office hours in cardiology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, gastroenterology, endocrinology, surgery, and more. Whether it’s primary care or specialized treatment for conditions like kidney disease or cancer, our dedicated care teams at NARH ensure every patient receives personalized attention. With pharmacy services that include free delivery, on-site consultations, and convenient medication packaging, we are making it easier than ever for our community to access the care they need. Together, we’re building a healthier future in North Berkshire.
