BMC Golf Tournament Canceled for 2020 For Safety

For Immediate Release

Berkshire Health Systems Cancels 2020 BMC Golf Tournament to Preserve Participant Safety

PITTSFIELD, MA – Berkshire Health Systems has announced the cancellation of the 41st Annual Berkshire Medical Center Benefit Golf Tournament, citing safety reasons in the still uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament, which has been popular in the community and helped to raise significant financial support for the hospital’s programs and services, was canceled out of respect for social distancing and to keep the golfers, sponsors and volunteers safe.

The BMC Golf Tournament had been scheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd at the Country Club of Pittsfield.

BMC plans on holding the tournament in 2021 and thanks all who have participated in past years for their generous support of vital programs at BMC.

Although the benefit golf tournament has been canceled, Berkshire Medical Center and Berkshire Health Systems still have a great need for community support. Please consider making a donation to the COVID-19 Relief Fund for Berkshire Health Systems. The Relief Fund will provide essential support to BMC and Fairview Hospital, BHS clinics, and BHS physician practices to help the health system recover from the first wave of COVID and ensure that it can prepare for any future challenges during the COVID-19 public health crisis.
