She received an additional certification as a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission. She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP) from The College of Our Lady of the Elms.
Lauren joined the nephrologists at Kidney Disease and Hypertension Services in 2018. Lauren believes that each patient should be an active participant in their care and allowed to make decisioned based on their life style and goals. In partnership with the patient she provides care that is aligned with the most up to date evidence-based medicine.
Prior to her work in nephrology she practiced in primary care focused on preventative medicine. She has worked as a registered nurse (RN) since 2007.
She is a member of the National Kidney Foundation and American Nephrology Nurses Association.
